It’s been called baseball’s greatest hit. And no matter what team or player you are a fan of, if you’re a true baseball lover, you’ll have agree! This year is the 100th anniversary of baseball’s greatest hit “Take Me Out to the Ball Game.” The song was copyrighted on May 2, 1908 and it has become a baseball tradition ever since! In fact, it is so much a part of Americana that many consider it the third most recognizable song from America. (Just behind “Happy Birthday to You” and the National Anthem.) • Sweet Caroline (Neil Diamond). I would be remised if I didn’t throw this one out there! It became an official tradition in 2002 for the Boston Red Sox and is played in the bottom of the 8th inning.
