Well many of you havent been watching the Euro Cup... but you should! Its been getting really exciting lately, so in order to get more people to turn to watching the Euro Cup I have decided to write the latest scoop on the going-ons in the game.
Throughout the Euro Cup Turkey has been the underdog, but recently they had a comeback win against the Czech Republic and advanced to the quarterfinals. In this comeback they scored 3 goals in about 15 minutes, a very exciting moment for any of the people viewing.
Turkey then had another underdog victory against Croatia, who was in 1st place in their group. This game went into overtime and Croatia scored with 1 minute left... everyone thought it was over. But then Turkey tied in the final seconds and it went to penalty kicks, where Turkey won. A stunning victory!
Today was the semifinal with Turkey against Germany, a very strong team that defeated Portugal in the quarterfinals. Turkey had a problem this game though; 5 of their players where injured and 5 couldn't play because of yellow cards. Because of this, a lot of Turkey's starters where out. Turkey scored in the first goal-4 minutes later Germany ties. Germany then scores again, leading 2-1. With 4 minutes left in the game Turkey scores, and the game is tied. Everyone was sitting on the edge of their seats- would this be another Turkish comeback?!?! In the final minute Germany scored again and won 3-2- eliminating Turkey. Now Germany will play either Spain or Russia- depending on who wins tommorow. Now go watch the Euro Cup!
