The biggest loss in horseracing over the weekend didn't involve the last place finish of Big Brown rather the loss of legendary sportscaster Jim McKay.
With "the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat" Jim McKay would sign on each weekend as the host of Wide World of Sports deftly guiding viewers from Acapulco Cliff Diving to the pageantry of the Olympics.
McKay, a native Marylander who traveled the world, was perhaps happiest in his own backyard on his Monkton, MD horse farm. In a way it was fitting that McKay passed away on day celebrating his favorite sport.
Rotohog recently caught up with one of McKay's media colleagues, CNN's Larry King. Check out our exclusive video interview as King shares his thoughts and memories of McKay.
