As NFL mini camps come together and as we prepare to get football on the brain again... we still have some unfinished NFL business left to wrap up from last season. As a community we have to come up with a fitting name for the legendary Eli Manning to David Tyree pass play.

Sure the Steelers have the Immaculate Reception" and the 49ers have "The Catch" but what are we going to name the G-men's immortal play?

Here are a few suggestions off the top of our head...

"David Vs. Goliath" - a relative unknown (Tyree) and underdog (Giants) take down the undefeated champs

"The Tyreach" - aptly describes David's acrobatic catch

"The Tyree House of Horror" - what Patriots fans view the play as... with reference to the Simpsons which Tom Brady has been featured on

There were many rumors regarding the Eagles and some top flight wide receivers in trades before the NFL draft. Names like Roy Williams,Chad Johnson, Larry Fitzgerald, and Anquan Boldin were bandied about, and it seemed much ado about nothing. Before the draft the Redskins offered 2 #1 picks for Chad Johnson and were flatly turned down, the Eagles seemingly out of the picture. During the draft the Eagles traded their #1 and received a #1 in next years

Looks like they're Superbowl bound. Or not. I think the new coach has his hands full.

I know Florida fans love good ol' Tim Tebow already, but this story documenting his adventures while circumcizing impoverished children in the Philippines should make them REALLY excited.

I will say this - when I was in college, this is NOT what I did on spring break.

The whole idea of building through the draft is keeping the good players you get. When did the Chiefs turn into the Royals? They have the money. They have a serious need for a hard core DE that reeks the kind of havoc Jared does. Why would they want to trade him, especially knowing what we will have to pay an unproven 1st rounder isn't much less that what they'll need to pay him. They did this last year with LJ. Who trades away Pro Bowl players in their prime? A 4-11 team, that's who. This guy has done everything in his ability to clean up his life off the football and has been nothing but a star on it. C'mon Carl. Stop talking trade and start writing a check.

Say what you will, but this guy was a warrior. He played hard. He played hurt. He just flat out played. He was a 1/2 yard from an entirely different perception about his career. We could use a few more Steve McNairs and a few less Pacmans and Ocho Cincos.
