Your favorite team for March Madness?

I've got a couple:

1) North Carolina - deep, talented, can win in multiple ways and close games which matters in the postseason. Lawson is a stud and Ellington can shoot the rock.

2) UCLA - They get calls. They win BS games. They have talent at EVERY position on the court (not counting Mata-Real). It's them vs. UNC for the title.

Do you agree? Why?

I don't know if you can call Wisconsin a "dark horse", but I don't think they get enough credit.

They have only had one bad game all year...it was AT Duke, hard to complain about that. As a matter of fact all 4 of their losses have come against ranked teams which shows that they now how to put away the teams they "should" beat. They get consistent production across the board and don't rely too heavily on one player. I think the national title is an attainable goal for this year's Badgers.

Wisconsin will never get the credit they deserve thanks to their lack of big names and the boring style of play in the Big 10. They're legit, but the way tourney games are usually officiated is a big difference from how Big 10 games are officiated, and generally the Big 10's tournament results appear to have suffered from it.

Also, I've been to Madison once in my life. It was about 0 degrees in late March and lots of people yelled profanity at me because they all hated Roy Williams for talking bad about the Big 10. So... I'm not a big Wisconsin fan.

I guess I'm biased, but I think you have to include KU in this group as well. Those are pretty clearly the 3 best teams in the country if you ask me.

Memphis is near that level, and Duke and Tennessee aren't far behind.

kansas and memphis

Along with UCLA, and UNC (the overall #1), you've got to include Kansas, Memphis, and UT as possible other 1 seeds.

KU

any team that can't beat Texas can't possibly..wait didn't the Bruins lose to Texas too? Ok, fine, KU's right there.

Bruin

All teams need that lucky game during their run to the top. If UCLA had won these games during the sweet sixteen or elite 8, then you can almost take it to the bank that they'll win. But this is too early. So not sure...I still like the fact that Coach Ben has taken the Bruins to 2 straight Final Fours. So confidence is there to get to the last game. The trick is to win it.
