Cutting the ball?

No, I missed that. I was watching the game on picture in picture, because the wife wanted to watch the finale of Rock of Love. Frankly, it wouldn't surprise me though. Tavarez has that ball that moves in sharply on righties, and it doesn't look natural. Too bad he usually can't contol it either.
I'll recap the convo as best

I'll recap the convo as best I can:
Tavarez was getting a tremendous amount of movement on his fastball. The ball was traveling at like 92 with Greg Maddux movement.
As cold as it was in Cleveland, Steve Phillips said he would call out Tavarez for cutting the ball. Orel Hershiser correctly explained that the wind coming from left field probably had a lot to do with it - as the Cleveland pitchers also were getting movement.
Classy guy, that Steve Phillips...really knows his baseball (LOL)

That's strange. Phillips is usually quite the Red Sox rooter/apologist.
